AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM(for Manual Air Conditioning System) Viscous Heater with Magnet Clutch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the idle up switch assembly is pushed, the air conditioning amplifier assembly turns on the viscous heater relay and operates the viscous heater. If the viscous heater does not operate when the idle up switch assembly is pushed, there may be a problem in the circuit shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (VISCOUS HEATER)


    1. Select the Active Test, use the GTS to generate a control command, and then check that the viscous heater with magnet clutch assembly operates Click here.

      Disconnect the 1S and 1T engine room No. 1 relay block, junction block connectors.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      1S-1 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      1T-8 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

  3. INSPECT VISCOUS HEATER RELAY (VISCUS)


    1. Remove the viscous heater relay (VISCUS) from engine room No. 1 relay block, junction block.

    1. Disconnect the 1T engine room No. 1 relay block, junction block connector.

    2. Disconnect the C94 viscous heater with magnet clutch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      1T-12 - C94-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      1T-12 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the 1T engine room No. 1 relay block, junction block connector.

    2. Disconnect the G25 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      1T-11 - G25-16 (MG+) Always Below 1 Ω
      1T-11 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the 1T engine room No. 1 relay block, junction block connector.

    2. Disconnect the r4 viscous heater with magnet clutch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      1T-12 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
