    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
5 (SVSG) - 8 (BLLH) LH switch off (Dial position 0) 1.54 to 2.86 kΩ
LH switch on (Dial position 1) 0.76 to 1.41 kΩ
LH switch on (Dial position 2) 0.56 to 1.03 kΩ
LH switch on (Dial position 3) 0.22 to 0.41 kΩ
5 (SVSG) - 6 (BLRH) RH switch off (Dial position 0) 1.54 to 2.86 kΩ
RH switch on (Dial position 1) 0.76 to 1.41 kΩ
RH switch on (Dial position 2) 0.56 to 1.03 kΩ
RH switch on (Dial position 3) 0.22 to 0.41 kΩ

      Tech Tips

As the dial is being turned, the resistance changes gradually.

If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch.

    2. Apply battery voltage to the switch connector, and check that the refreshing seat switch illuminates.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 2 (ILL+)

      Battery negative (-) → 1 (ILL-)

      Illuminates

If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch.

    3. Apply battery voltage to the switch connector, and check that the refreshing seat switch indicator illuminates.

      OK
Measurement Condition Switch Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → 3 (IG)

      Battery negative (-) → 4 (E)

LH switch on LH switch indicator illuminates
RH switch on RH switch indicator illuminates

If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch.
