Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 SEAT WIRE


    1. for Driver Side:

      w/o Climate Control Seat System:


      1. Attach the 2 clamps to install the No. 2 seat wire.

      2. Connect the 2 connectors.

    2. for Driver Side:

      w/ Climate Control Seat System:


      1. Attach the 3 clamps to install the No. 2 seat wire.

      2. Connect the 2 connectors.

    3. for Front Passenger Side:


      1. Attach the 2 clamps to install the seat wire.

      2. Connect the connector.

  3. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the seatback climate control duct LH.

  4. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)


    1. Install the seatback climate control blower LH with the 4 screws.

    2. Connect the connector.

  5. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD


    1. Install the separate type front seatback pad.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

  7. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. Set the separate type front seatback cover in place.

      *1 Hog Ring Pliers

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 13 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

    3. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    4. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. B001ENO

        Connect the seatback cover bracket to the separate type front seatback pad.

      2. Install the seatback cover bracket to the seat frame with the nut.

        Torque:
        5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

        Note

        After the seatback trim cover is assembled, make sure the side airbag strap is not twisted.

    5. w/o Seatback Board:


      1. Close the 2 fasteners, and then close the separate type front seatback cover.

        Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

    6. w/ Seatback Board:

        Using hog ring pliers, install 5 new hog rings.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

      2. Attach the hooks.

  8. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH


    1. Attach the guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  9. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH


    1. Attach the guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE LH


    1. Install the front seat wire LH.

  11. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Attach the 2 guides to install the seat cushion climate control blower as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the seat cushion climate control bracket with the 2 screws.

  12. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)


    1. Attach the 2 claws and 2 clamps to install the seat cushion climate control duct.

  13. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

    1. Move the front seat cushion edge protector LH in the direction of the arrow to attach the hook and install the front seat cushion edge protector LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  16. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH


    1. Attach the hook and clip to install the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  17. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH


    1. Attach the hook and clip to install the front seat lower cushion shield RH.

    2. Install the screw.

  18. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH


    1. Attach the claw and guide to install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  19. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

  20. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. Set the separate type front seat cushion cover in place.

      *1 Hog Ring Pliers

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 15 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      1. Using hog ring pliers, connect the straps with new hog rings.

      1. Connect the straps with new tack pins.

  21. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. Install the seat cushion cover with pad.

    2. for Front Passenger Side:

      Attach the claw to connect the connector.

    3. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Connect the seat heater connector and attach the 3 wire harness clamps.

    4. Attach the hooks.

  22. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LEG COVER LH

    1. Move the front seat leg cover LH in the direction of the arrow to install the front seat leg cover LH.

    2. Attach the 2 claws.

  23. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP


    1. Install the 2 seat adjuster caps.

  24. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the separate type front seatback assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    2. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Connect the airbag wire harness.

      2. Attach the fastening tape to close the cover.

      3. Attach the 3 airbag wire harness clamps.

      4. Attach the claw to connect the airbag connector.

    3. Attach the 2 hooks.

    4. Attach the clamp to connect the No. 2 seat wire.

    5. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Connect the seat heater connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

    6. w/o Seatback Board:


      1. Connect the rubber band.

  25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. for Driver Side:

  26. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Attach the 3 claws to install the front seat inner cushion shield LH.

  27. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the front seat inner cushion shield RH.

  28. INSTALL FRONT SEAT NO. 1 INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the front seat No. 1 inner cushion shield LH.

  29. INSTALL LUMBAR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

  30. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH


    1. w/ Seat Memory System:

      Connect the 2 power seat switch connectors.

    2. w/o Seat Memory System:

      Connect the power seat switch connector.

    3. Install the front power seat switch LH with 3 screws.

  31. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH


    1. Attach the 3 wire harness clamps and connect the seat wire connector.

    2. Attach the 3 claws to close the wire harness cover.

    3. Remove the clip attached to the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly and install it to the front seat cushion shield LH.

    4. Attach the 2 clips, 3 claws and guide.

    5. Attach the guide of the front seat No. 1 inner cushion shield LH and install the screw.

    6. Connect the lifter motor connector.

  32. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

      Attach the 2 claws to install the reclining power seat switch knob.

  33. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  34. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD CLIP (w/ Seatback Board)

      Install 2 new front seatback board clips to front seatback board sub-assembly LH.

  35. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seatback Board)


    1. B001F30

      Attach the 2 guides and 2 claws of the front seatback board clip to install the front seatback board sub-assembly LH.

    2. Attach the 2 hooks to connect the 2 rubber bands.
