DESCRIPTION

These DTCs are stored when the headlight swivel ECU assembly (AFS ECU) detects errors in its own communications with the headlight assemblies (headlight leveling motors).

Either condition is met:


  • A malfunction in the headlight leveling motor RH.

  • An open or short in the headlight leveling motor RH communication circuit.

  • Headlight assembly RH (headlight leveling motor RH)

  • Headlight swivel ECU assembly (AFS ECU)

  • Harness or connector

  2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU)


    1. Using the intelligent tester, read the Data List Click here.

      Disconnect the A58 headlight swivel ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      A58-22 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY - HEADLIGHT UNIT)


    1. Disconnect the A58 headlight swivel ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the A30*1 or A31*2 headlight connector.


      • *1: for LH

      • *2: for RH

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      A58-30 (LH+) - A30-7 (LHM+) Always Below 1 Ω
      A58-3 (LHT) - A30-6 (LHB1) Always Below 1 Ω

      A58-3 (LHT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
