DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor RH detects an open in the blind spot monitor indicator RH.

C1AB5 With the blind spot monitor main switch assembly (multi-function switch) on, the current flowing to the indicator is below a specified value when indicator operation voltage is sent to the indicator.

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch assembly (multi-function switch) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    OK
    NG
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the R43 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the J3 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R43-4 (OMIR) - J3-2 (BSR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J3-2 (BSR+) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    OK
  3. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Replace the outer rear view mirror sub-assembly RH with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    OK
    NG
  4. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Replace the outer rear view mirror assembly RH with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.
