DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH judges that there is a communication problem with the blind spot monitor sensor RH.

Note


  • When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch assembly (multi-function switch) is on.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH)


    1. Disconnect the R42 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the R43 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R42-1 (CA2P) - R43-1 (CA2P) Always Below 1 Ω
      R42-6 (CA2N) - R43-6 (CA2N) Always Below 1 Ω

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN LINE OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      R43-5 (BRB) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      Engine switch off Below 1 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R43-10 (BRGD) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. CHECK BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH


    1. Replace the blind spot monitor sensor RH with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    OK
