DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH detects an open in the blind spot monitor indicator LH.

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1AB4 With the blind spot monitor main switch assembly (multi-function switch) on, the current flowing to the indicator is below a specified value when indicator operation voltage is sent to the indicator.

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch assembly (multi-function switch) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the R42 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the K2 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R42-4 (OMIL) - K2-2 (BSL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      K2-2 (BSL+) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Replace the outer rear view mirror sub-assembly LH with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    OK

  4. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Replace the outer rear view mirror assembly LH Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.
