DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH detects a +B short in the blind spot monitor indicator LH.

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1AB0 With the blind spot monitor main switch assembly (multi-function switch) on, the voltage applied to the indicator is high for a certain amount of time even though the blind spot monitor sensor is not outputting voltage to the indicator.

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch assembly (multi-function switch) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR INDICATOR LH CIRCUIT)


    1. Disconnect the R42 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      R42-4 (OMIL) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Below 1 V

    OK

    REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH Click here

    NG

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the R42 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the K2 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      R42-4 (OMIL) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Below 1 V

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the R42 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the outer rear view mirror sub-assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
