DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH detects a ground short in the blind spot monitor indicator LH.

C1AB2 With the blind spot monitor main switch assembly (multi-function switch) on, the voltage output from the blind spot monitor sensor to the indicator is low for a certain amount of time.

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch assembly (multi-function switch) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    OK
    NG
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH)


    1. Disconnect the K2 outer rear view mirror assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the R42 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K2-2 (BSL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    OK
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the R42 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the outer rear view mirror sub-assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R42-4 (OMIL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    OK
  4. CHECK OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Replace the outer rear view mirror sub-assembly LH with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Check for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    OK
