DESCRIPTION

The clearance warning buzzer sounds to alert the driver. The sounding pattern changes according to the distance to the obstacle.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU)


    1. Disconnect the I8 clearance warning ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the G161 No. 1 clearance warning buzzer connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I8-1 (BBZ) - G161-1 (Z+) Always Below 1 Ω
      I8-2 (ER) - G161-2 (Z-) Always Below 1 Ω
      I8-1 (BBZ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I8-2 (ER) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
