C1AE6 Rear Left Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner sensor LH) is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner sensor LH). If the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner sensor LH) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

Note

If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the ignition switch ON and turn the back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly is on. Then clear the DTC Click here.

  2. REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR CORNER SENSOR LH)


    1. Replace the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner sensor LH) with a normally functioning sensor Click here.

      Tech Tips

      All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a known good sensor from the other end of the vehicle.
