C1AED Rear Sensor Communication Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when there is an open or short circuit in the communication line between the rear sensors and ECU, or when there is a malfunction in a rear sensor.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (C1AED)


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs Click here.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CLEARANCE WARNING ECU - REAR CORNER SENSOR LH)


    1. Disconnect the I9*1 or G228*2 clearance warning ECU connector.


      • *1: for 4 Sensor Type

      • *2: for 8 Sensor Type

    2. Disconnect the V7 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner sensor LH) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for 4 Sensor Type
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I9-22 (BOR) - V7-1 (BI) Always Below 1 Ω
      I9-24 (SOR) - V7-3 (SI) Always Below 1 Ω
      I9-23 (E1) - V7-5 (EI) Always Below 1 Ω
      I9-22 (BOR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I9-24 (SOR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I9-23 (E1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the V7 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner sensor LH) connector.

    2. Disconnect the V6 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear center sensor LH) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      V7-2 (BO) - V6-1 (BI) Always Below 1 Ω
      V7-4 (SO) - V6-3 (SI) Always Below 1 Ω
      V7-6 (EO) - V6-5 (EI) Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR CENTER SENSOR LH - REAR CENTER SENSOR RH)


    1. Disconnect the V6 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear center sensor LH) connector.

    2. Disconnect the U6 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear center sensor RH) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      V6-2 (BO) - U6-1 (BI) Always Below 1 Ω
      V6-4 (SO) - U6-3 (SI) Always Below 1 Ω

    2. Disconnect the U7 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear corner sensor RH) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
