DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a microphone signal line is disconnected.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 20 seconds.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      No DTCs are output.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY))


    1. Disconnect the G187 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the W7 map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G187-33 (MCVD) - W7-11 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      G187-34 (MCI+) - W7-12 (MCO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      G187-35 (MCI-) - W7-13 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      G187-33 (MCVD) or W7-11 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G187-34 (MCI+) or W7-12 (MCO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G187-35 (MCI-) or W7-13 (MCO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G187-32 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the map light assembly.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. CHECK TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the telephone microphone assembly with a new or known good one.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.
