NAVIGATION SYSTEM(for Navigation Receiver Type) Illumination Circuit

DESCRIPTION

Power is supplied to the navigation receiver assembly and steering pad switch assembly illumination when the light control switch is in the tail or head position.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK ILLUMINATION


    1. Check if the illumination for the navigation receiver assembly, steering pad switch assembly, heater control switch or others (hazard switch, transmission control switch, etc.) come on when the light control switch is turned to the head or tail position.

      Illumination comes on for all components except steering pad switch assembly. A
      Illumination comes on for all components except radio and display receiver assembly. B
      No illumination comes on (radio and display receiver assembly, steering pad switch, hazard switch, heater control switch, etc.). C

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)

      Disconnect the spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the steering pad switch assembly Click here.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the H56 navigation receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G208 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H56-23 (SWG) - G208-3 (EAU) Always Below 1 Ω
      H56-23 (SWG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ILLUMINATION SIGNAL)

      Disconnect the navigation receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      H54-7 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
