STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

  4. REMOVE AMPLIFIER COVER

    1. Fold back the floor carpet.

    2. w/ Climate Control Seat System:


      1. Remove the 3 clips and amplifier cover.

    3. w/o Climate Control Seat System:


      1. Remove the 3 screws and clip.

      2. Detach the clamp and remove amplifier cover.

  5. REMOVE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect each connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and 2 screws.

    3. Detach the guide and remove the stereo component amplifier assembly.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 AMPLIFIER COVER

    1. w/ Climate Control Seat System:


      1. Detach the clamp.

      2. Remove the screw, bolt and No. 2 amplifier cover.

    2. for JBL Made, w/o Climate Control Seat System:


      1. Detach the 3 clips and remove the No. 2 amplifier cover.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 AMPLIFIER BRACKET


    1. Remove the 2 screws and No. 1 amplifier bracket.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 AMPLIFIER BRACKET


    1. Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 amplifier bracket.
