VANE PUMP(for 5L-E) REMOVAL

Note


  • When using a vise, do not overtighten it.

  • When installing the parts indicated by arrows, coat them with power steering fluid Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE VANE PUMP V BELT

    Click here

  2. DISCONNECT OIL RESERVOIR TO NO. 1 PUMP HOSE

      Slide the clip and disconnect the oil hose.

  3. DISCONNECT PRESSURE FEED TUBE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the union bolt and gasket and disconnect the pressure feed tube.

  4. REMOVE FAN SHROUD


    1. Remove the fan shroud Click here.

  5. REMOVE VANE PUMP PULLEY

      Using SST, remove the nut and vane pump pulley.

  6. REMOVE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts, nut and vane pump.
