PARKING BRAKE LEVER INSTALLATION

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  2. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the parking brake lever with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the parking brake lever support with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    3. Install the straight pin to the parking brake lever.

    4. Connect the No. 2 parking brake cable and No. 3 parking brake cable to the No. 1 parking brake pull rod.

    5. Install the bush, compression spring and No. 1 parking brake pull rod to the parking brake lever with the adjusting nut.

    6. Install the parking brake return spring.

    7. Connect the parking brake switch connector.

  3. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL

  4. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL

  5. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY


    1. for Automatic Transmission:

      Install the rear console box assembly Click here.

    2. for Manual Transmission:

    3. w/ Refrigerated Cool Box:

      Install the rear console box assembly Click here.

    4. for Bench Seat Type:
