Either condition is met:


  1. With the vehicle stationary, the yaw rate and acceleration sensor output value is not 0°/s.

  2. An abnormal comparison value.

  • When replacing the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly), perform calibration Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (YAW RATE SENSOR)


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Data List.

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Yaw Rate Sensor Yaw rate and acceleration sensor 1 reading/ Min.: -128°/s, Max.: 127°/s

      Vehicle stationary: 0°/s

      Right turn: -128 to 0°/s

      Left turn: 0 to 127°/s

    6. Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) output value is displayed on the GTS.

  2. CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) is installed properly Click here.

      OK
      The sensor is tightened to the specified torque.
      The sensor is not installed at an angle.
