ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM ABS Warning Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.

  • When replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform calibration Click here.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output Click here.

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING) Click here

  2. CHECK ABS WARNING LIGHT


    1. Disconnect the A6 skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) connector.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Check that the ABS warning light comes on.

      OK
      The ABS warning light comes on.

    OK

    REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Click here

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (ABS WARNING LIGHT)


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Data List.

    6. When performing the ABS Warning Light Active Test, check ABS Warning Light in the Data List (See Page ).
