| DTC Code | DTC Name |
|---|---|
| C2177 | Initialization not Completed |
DESCRIPTION
Initialization is necessary if one of the following occurs:
The tire pressure warning ECU and receiver is replaced.
A tire pressure warning valve and transmitter is replaced.
Tires with different standard tire pressures are installed.
A new vehicle is delivered.
Tire pressure initialization is started by pressing and holding the tire pressure warning reset switch with the ignition switch ON. The tire pressure warning ECU and receiver flashes the tire pressure warning light of the combination meter assembly 3 times and registers the tire pressure sent by the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter after receiving an initialization command signal.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Note
When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver, first use the GTS to record all of the current IDs and registered tires with transmitters (4 or 5 tires) of the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter registered to the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver.
It is necessary to perform initialization after registration Click here of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver if the ECU and/or one of the valve and transmitters has been replaced.
Initialization will not complete and DTC C2177 may be stored in the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver if the GTS is used to perform initialization with the ECU Data Item list displayed for 10 minutes or longer.
PROCEDURE
CHECK FREQUENCY RECEIVING CONDITION
Check that the following conditions are not met:
Facilities or devices that use similar radio frequencies are located in the vicinity of the vehicle.
Tech Tips
If the vehicle is located in an area such as the one described above, the tire pressure warning light may illuminate after blinking 1 minute due to interfering radio frequencies.
Devices using similar radio frequencies are used in the vehicle.

CONFIRM TIRE INFLATION PRESSURE (DATA LIST)
Turn the ignition switch off.
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Data List.
Check the values by referring to the table below.

Tech Tips
*: It may take a few minutes until the values are displayed.
The wheel position cannot be determined from ID1 through ID4 or ID1 through ID5 (w/ Spare Tire) on the Data List.
When an "ID Tire Inflation Pressure" value has not changed, reset the tire pressure to the appropriate specified value and rotate the tire 90 to 270 degrees. Then rapidly release the tire pressure and recheck the value.
