      1. Tire pressure adjustment method when warm:

        1. Turn the engine switch off.

        2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

        3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

        4. Turn the GTS on.

        5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Data List.

        6. Adjust the tire pressure so that the displayed value is equal to the set pressure.

        7. Perform initialization and check that initialization completes.

          Click here

        8. Check and record the value of the Data List item "Temperature in Tire". (Ts)

        9. Check and record the ambient temperature during tire pressure adjustment. (Tm)

        10. Readjust the tire pressure according to the difference between the tire internal temperature (Ts) and the ambient temperature (Tm). (P)

          Tech Tips

          Tire internal temperature: Ts, Ambient temperature: Tm, Tire pressure readjustment value: P

          P = (Specified Pressure) + (Ts - Tm)

        11. Check the pressure adjustment value with the Data List item "Tire Inflation Pressure".

        Note

        Check the tire pressure warning system for the relationship between the inflation pressure and tire pressure warning pressure.

    2. B001H21

      Using a dial indicator, check the tire runout.

      Standard tire runout
      2.0 mm (0.0787 in.) or less
  2. ROTATE TIRES

      Text in Illustration
      *a Front of the Vehicle
      *b for Vehicles with Spare Tire
      *c for Vehicles without Spare Tire

      Rotate the tires as shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      for steel wheel
      112 N*m  { 1137 kgf*cm, 82 ft.*lbf }
      for aluminum wheel
      103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
  3. INSPECT WHEEL BALANCE

    1. B001F2R

      for Steel Wheel Type:

      Check and adjust the off-the-car balance.

      Standard Imbalance After Adjustment
      12 g (0.0265 lb.) or less

      Tech Tips

      If necessary, check and adjust the on-the-car balance.

    2. for Aluminum Wheel Type:

      Check and adjust the off-the-car balance.

      Standard Imbalance After Adjustment
      6.0 g (0.0132 lb.) or less
      B001F4PC01
      Text in Illustration
      *a for 17 Inch Wheels and 19 Inch Wheels *b for 18 Inch Wheels

      Note

      • Using a cleaning detergent, remove dirt, oil and water from the surface where the balance weight is to be adhered.

      • Do not touch the adhesive surface of the tape.

      • Attach a sticking type balance weight to the flat surface (A) shown in the illustration.

        Width (A)
        25 mm (0.984 in.)
      • Push the balance weight securely with your finger so that it securely adheres to the position.

      • Do not reuse the balance weight.

      Tech Tips

      • For 17 inch wheels, the outer side balance weight should be installed by clipping it to the rim.

      • If necessary, check and adjust the on-the-car balance.
