DESCRIPTION

The absorber control switch is used to select the damping force mode of the shock absorber.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT SUSPENSION CONTROL SWITCH


    1. Remove the absorber control switch (suspension control switch) Click here.

    2. Inspect the absorber control switch (suspension control switch) Click here.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR - SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU)


    1. Disconnect the G303 absorber control switch (suspension control switch) connector.

    2. Disconnect the A49 suspension control ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G303-9 (ECU1) - A49-23 (TSW1) Always Below 1 Ω
      G303-8 (ECU2) - A49-22 (TSW2) Always Below 1 Ω
      G303-18 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      G303-9 (ECU1) or A49-23 (TSW1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G303-8 (ECU2) or A49-22 (TSW2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    OK
  3. INSPECT SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR


    1. Disconnect the A49 suspension control ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A49-22 (TSW2) - Body ground Absorber control switch (COMF) pressed and held Below 1 Ω
      Absorber control switch (COMF) released 10 kΩ or higher
      A49-23 (TSW1) - Body ground Absorber control switch (SPORT) pressed and held Below 1 Ω
      Absorber control switch (SPORT) released 10 kΩ or higher
