  2. Center differential lock switch stuck ON

  3. 0.3 seconds or more when ignition switch is turned to ON, or 60 seconds or more with ignition switch ON

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU - COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY OR CENTER DIFFERENTIAL LOCK SWITCH)


    1. Disconnect the G53 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

    2. for 1GR-FE, 1KD-FTV, 1GD-FTV w/ Combination Switch (Automatic Transmission):

      Disconnect the G156 center differential lock switch (combination switch assembly) connector.

      for 1GR-FE, 1KD-FTV, 1GD-FTV w/o Combination Switch (Automatic Transmission):

      Disconnect the G156 center differential lock switch (No. 2 combination switch assembly) connector.

    3. for 1GR-FE, 1KD-FTV, 1GD-FTV w/o Combination Switch (Manual Transmission):

      Disconnect the G230 center differential lock switch connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for 1GR-FE, 1KD-FTV, 1GD-FTV w/ Combination Switch (Automatic Transmission) or for 1GR-FE, 1KD-FTV, 1GD-FTV w/o Combination Switch (Automatic Transmission):

      G53-6 (DL) - G156-3 (CPU) Always Below 1 Ω
      G156-24 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      G53-6 (DL) or G156-3 (CPU) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Disconnect the G156 center differential lock switch (combination switch assembly) connector.

      Disconnect the G156 center differential lock switch (No. 2 combination switch assembly) connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
