DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when communication is lost with the skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid)*1, skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)*2 or ECM.

  2. Communication is lost between ECM and 4 wheel drive control ECU

  3. 5.12 seconds or more when transfer is switching between high and low

  4. 1 trip detection logic

  1. Ignition switch turned to ON (3 seconds elapse after ignition switch is turned to ON)

  2. Communication is lost between skid control ECU and 4 wheel drive control ECU

  3. 0.72 seconds or more when transfer is switching between high and low, when center differential is switching between free and lock, or when rear differential is switching between free and lock*

  4. 1 trip detection logic

Note


  • When the data in the ECM, skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid)*1 or skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)*2 is being overwritten, the indicator light may rapidly blink due to the 4 wheel drive control ECU detecting a communication malfunction (blinks at 0.25 second intervals (0.25 seconds on and 0.25 seconds off)), but this is not a malfunction.

  • Clear all DTCs, since DTCs are stored after the data in the ECM, skid control ECU (master cylinder solenoid)*1 or skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)*2 is overwritten.


  • *1: for Hydraulic Brake Booster

  • *2: for Vacuum Brake Booster
