INPUT SHAFT REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL INPUT SHAFT FRONT BEARING

   
   

   1. 

      Using SST and a press, install a new front bearing to the input shaft.

      SST

      09950-60010   ( 09951-00570 )

      09950-70010   ( 09951-07100 )

      Note

      Be sure to install the input shaft front bearing with the snap ring groove on the front side.

2. INSTALL FRONT BEARING SHAFT SNAP RING

   
   

   1. Select a snap ring that makes the clearance between the input shaft and front bearing within the specification.

      Standard clearance
      0.10 mm (0.00394 in.) or less

      Snap Ring Thickness
      Thickness 2.10 mm (0.0827 in.) 2.15 mm (0.0846 in.) 2.20 mm (0.0866 in.) 2.25 mm (0.0886 in.) 2.30 mm (0.0906 in.) 2.35 mm (0.0925 in.) 2.40 mm (0.0945 in.)

   2. 

      Using a snap ring expander, install the snap ring.

3. INSTALL INPUT SHAFT BEARING

   
   

   1. 

      Apply gear oil to the input shaft bearing and install it to the input shaft.

4. INSTALL NO. 2 SYNCHRONIZER RING

   
   

   1. 

      Apply gear oil to No. 2 synchronizer ring and install it to the input shaft.
