TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the transmission control cable from outside the vehicle body and attach the 3 claws of the cable retainer.

    2. Install the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    3. for 1GR-FE, 1GD-FTV:


      1. Connect the transmission control cable support to the vehicle body with the 2 nuts.

        Torque:
        5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    4. for 2TR-FE:

        *1 Ground Wire

        Connect the transmission control cable support and ground wire to the vehicle body with the 2 nuts as shown in the illustration.

        Torque:
        for Nut A
        5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
        for Nut B
        10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

      Turn the control shaft lever LH clockwise until it stops, and then return the control shaft lever counterclockwise 2 notches to N.

    6. Connect the transmission control cable assembly to the transmission control cable bracket with a new clip, and then connect the cable end to the control shaft lever LH with the nut.

      Torque:
      14 N*m  { 143 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

  2. CONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
