SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  2. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Move the shift lever to N.

    2. B001FEY

      Disconnect the transmission control cable end from the transmission floor shift assembly.

    3. B001D09

      Rotate the socket counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the nut in that position, disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly retainer.

      Note

      Do not over-rotate the nut as it will come off the internal spring and the transmission control cable assembly will not be reusable.

  3. REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY


    1. A01XHWD

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Remove the 4 bolts and transmission floor shift assembly.
