CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Measure the resistance (for vehicles without vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode).

      *1 MAIN
      *2 -SET
      *3 CANCEL

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        1 (ECC) - 3 (CCS) Neutral 10 kΩ or higher
        1 (ECC) - 3 (CCS) +RES 235 to 245 Ω
        1 (ECC) - 3 (CCS) -SET 617 to 643 Ω
        1 (ECC) - 3 (CCS) CANCEL 1509 to 1571 Ω
        1 (ECC) - 3 (CCS) Main switch off 10 kΩ or higher
        1 (ECC) - 3 (CCS) Main switch on Below 2.5 Ω

        • If the result is not as specified, replace the cruise control main switch assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance (for vehicles with vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode).

      *1 MODE
      *2 MAIN
      *3 -SET
      *4 CANCEL

      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition

        1 (ECC) - 2 (R/N)

        1 (ECC) - 3 (CCS)

        		 Neutral 10 kΩ or higher
        1 (ECC) - 3 (CCS) +RES 235 to 245 Ω
        1 (ECC) - 3 (CCS) -SET 617 to 643 Ω
        1 (ECC) - 3 (CCS) CANCEL 1509 to 1571 Ω
        1 (ECC) - 3 (CCS) Main switch off 10 kΩ or higher
        1 (ECC) - 3 (CCS) Main switch on Below 2.5 Ω
        3 (CCS) - 2 (R/N) Main switch on and mode switch on Below 2.5 Ω

        • If the result is not as specified, replace the cruise control main switch assembly.
