LANE DEPARTURE ALERT SYSTEM Steering Pad Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU assembly receives a lane departure alert main switch signal from the steering pad switch assembly and sends the signal to the forward recognition camera via CAN communication.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (CAN BUS CHECK)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: System Select / Can Bus Check.

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (HEALTH CHECK)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

    5. Check DTCs.

    1. Remove the steering pad switch assembly.

    1. Remove the spiral cable sub-assembly.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the G208 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G224 driving support ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G208-12 (DIST) - G224-23 (SPSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      Standard Resistance (Check for Short)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G208-12 (DIST) or G224-23 (SPSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Reconnect the G224 driving support ECU assembly connector.

    5. Reconnect the G208 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - ECM)


    1. Disconnect the G208 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G181 ECM connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G208-2 (ECC) - G181-21 (ECCS) Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Reconnect the G208 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

    5. Reconnect the G181 ECM connector.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the G208 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G208-2 (ECC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Reconnect the G208 spiral cable sub-assembly connector.
