P1630 Communication Error from VSC to ECM

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU sends signals, such as cruise control cancel demand signals and brake operation demand response signals, to the ECM when the dynamic radar cruise control system is in operation.

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
P1630 While the vehicle speed is 50 km/h (31 mph) or more with the cruise control switch on, the skid control ECU is logically inconsistent for 1 second.

  • Hydraulic brake booster assembly (Skid control ECU)

  • ECM

PROCEDURE


  1. REPLACE HYDRAULIC BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY (SKID CONTROL ECU)


    1. for LHD:

      Replace the hydraulic brake booster assembly Click here.

    2. for RHD:

      Replace the hydraulic brake booster assembly Click here.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Perform the following to make sure the DTC detection conditions are met.

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.


      1. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (31 mph) or more.

      2. Turn the cruise control switch on.

    3. Check for DTCs Click here.
