DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU outputs the vehicle speed signal to the ECM through the combination meter assembly.

Note


  • This DTC may be output by the vehicle stability control system at the same time. In that case, perform troubleshooting for the vehicle stability control system first.

  • When replacing the combination meter assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a combination meter assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in it will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs.

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here

    2. Perform the following to make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the malfunction cannot be detected.


      1. Drive the vehicle at a speed for which cruise control operation is possible.

      2. Turn the cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF).

      3. Push the cruise control main switch to -SET to begin control of vehicle speed using the cruise control system.

    3. Check for DTCs.
