DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the vehicle stability control system has a problem. Check the vehicle stability control system when this DTC is output.

P1578 While the vehicle speed is 50 km/h (31 mph) or more with the cruise control switch on, the ECM receives a vehicle stability control system malfunction signal for 1 second.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      Vehicle stability control system DTCs are not output.

    GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Click here

    OK

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Perform the following to make sure the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.


      1. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (31 mph) or more.

      2. Turn the cruise control switch on.

    3. Check for DTCs Click here.
