STARTER(for 1.4 kW Type) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL STARTER ASSEMBLY


    1. for Automatic Transmission:

      Install the starter assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    2. for Manual Transmission:


      1. Temporarily install the starter assembly with the bolt.

        *1 Clutch Flexible Hose Bracket

        Temporarily install the clutch flexible hose bracket with the bolt.

      3. Tighten the 2 bolts.

        Torque:
        37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

    3. Connect the starter wire to terminal 30 with the nut.

      Torque:
      9.8 N*m  { 100 kgf*cm, 87 in.*lbf }

    4. Install the terminal cap.

    5. Connect the starter connector.

  2. CONNECT CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission)

  3. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
