STARTER(for 2.7 kW Type) DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE STARTER YOKE ASSEMBLY

      *a	Terminal C

      Remove the nut and disconnect the lead wire from terminal C.

   2. Remove the 2 bolts.

   3. Pull out the starter yoke assembly together with the starter armature assembly.

   4. Remove the felt washer from the starter armature assembly.

2. REMOVE MAGNET STARTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 3 screws and magnet starter switch assembly.

3. REMOVE STARTER CLUTCH SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *2	Starter Clutch Sub-assembly
      *3	Starter Drive Housing Assembly
      *4	Clutch Roller
      *5	Retainer
      *6	Idle Gear

      Remove the return spring, idle gear, clutch roller, retainer and starter clutch sub-assembly from the starter drive housing assembly.

   2.

      *a	Magnet Hand

      Using a magnet hand, remove the steel ball from the clutch shaft hole.

4. REMOVE STARTER BRUSH HOLDER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Remove the 2 screws and commutator end frame from the starter yoke assembly.

   2. 

      Disconnect the 4 starter brushes from the starter brush holder assembly.

      
      

      1. Using a screwdriver, pull back the brush spring.

      2. Disconnect the brush from the starter brush holder assembly.

   3. Remove the starter brush holder assembly from the starter yoke assembly.

5. REMOVE STARTER ARMATURE ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the starter armature assembly from the starter yoke assembly.
