DESCRIPTION

The illuminated entry system controls the engine switch illumination.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test.

    1. Remove the engine switch.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ENGINE SWITCH - CERTIFICATION ECU [SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY])


    1. Disconnect the G206 engine switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the G215 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G206-9 (SWIL) - G215-17 (SWIL) Always Below 1 Ω
      G206-6 (AGND) - G215-12 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      G206-9 (SWIL) or G215-17 (SWIL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G206-6 (AGND) or G215-12 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
