THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM(except 5L-E) Security Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the theft deterrent system is in the disarmed state, the security indicator light will blink if the immobiliser system is set, or not illuminate if the immobiliser system is not set.

When the theft deterrent system is in the armed state, the security indicator light blinks.

When the theft deterrent system is in the arming preparation state or alarm sounding state, the security indicator light illuminates.

    If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (Security Indicator)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, perform the Active Test.

      Security indicator illuminates when operated through the GTS.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the H23 security indicator light assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G218 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    3. Disconnect the G74 transponder key ECU assembly connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
