THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM(except 5L-E) Glass Breakage Sensor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the glass breakage sensor detects that the quarter window glass* or back door glass is tapped or broken, the sensor will set off the alarm for 30 seconds.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (Sealed Glas Brak Sen)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GLASS BREAKAGE SENSOR - MAIN BODY ECU [MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU] AND BODY GROUND)


    • *1: for 5 Door

    • *2: w/ Glass Hatch Opener System

    • *3: w/o Glass Hatch Opener System


    1. Disconnect the G218 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the R25 quarter window assembly LH (glass breakage sensor) connector.*1

    3. Disconnect the Q20 quarter window assembly RH (glass breakage sensor) connector.*1

    4. Disconnect the Y2*2 or X8*3 back door glass (glass breakage sensor) connector.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for 3 Door, with Glass Hatch Opener System:

      G218-7 (GPBS) - Y2-3 (SSR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y2-1 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
