Note
Take extra care when handling these precision electronic components.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE TRANSMITTER HOUSING COVER (except Separate Type)
| *1 | Housing Cover |
|
Protective Tape |
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pry apart the transmitter housing cover.
Note
Do not use excessive force when prying apart the housing cover.
Remove the transmitter housing cover while the switches face downward to prevent the switch knob from falling.
REMOVE DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER MODULE SET (except Separate Type)
Remove the door control transmitter module set.
Note
When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the electrical transmitter from being damaged.
REMOVE TRANSMITTER BATTERY (except Separate Type)
Twist a coin in the direction of the arrow in the illustration and detach the 7 claws to remove the transmitter battery cover.
Note
When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the door control transmitter module set from being damaged.
Remove the transmitter battery (lithium battery: CR2016).
Note
When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the door control transmitter module set from being damaged.
Do not push the terminals with your finger.
Do not forcibly pry up the transmitter battery as the terminals may be damaged.
Do not touch the transmitter battery with wet hands. Water may cause it to rust.
Do not touch or move any components inside the transmitter as this may interfere with its proper operation.
INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY (except Separate Type)
Install a new transmitter battery (lithium battery: CR2016) with the positive (+) side up, as shown in the illustration.
Note
When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the door control transmitter module set from being damaged.
Make sure that the positive (+) side and the negative (-) side of the transmitter battery are correctly matched with the transmitter terminals.
Do not bend the transmitter battery electrode during installation.
Keep the inside of the transmitter battery case free of dust and oil.
Attach the 7 claws to install the transmitter battery cover.
INSTALL DOOR CONTROL TRANSMITTER MODULE SET (except Separate Type)
Install the door control transmitter module set to the transmitter housing case from directly above.
Note
When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the door control transmitter module set from being damaged.
The switches may not be able to operate normally when the door control transmitter module set is installed with keeping its rubber projections bent.
INSTALL TRANSMITTER HOUSING COVER (except Separate Type)
Install the transmitter housing cover onto the transmitter housing case securely.
REMOVE TRANSMITTER BATTERY (for Separate Type)
Twist a coin in the direction of the arrow in the illustration and remove the transmitter housing cover.
Note
When replacing the transmitter battery, before starting work, remove static electricity that has built up in the body by touching, for example, the vehicle to prevent the door control transmitter module set from being damaged.
