WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM(w/ Entry and Start System) No Answer-Back

DESCRIPTION

In some cases, wireless door lock control functions are normal but the hazard warning light and/or wireless door lock buzzer answer-back function(s)* does not operate. In such cases, hazard warning light and wireless door lock buzzer* signal outputs from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) may be malfunctioning.

Note


  • The wireless door lock control system uses the CAN communication system. First, confirm that there is no malfunction in the CAN communication system. Refer to the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure.

    1. Check the customize status of answer-back function has been default setting.

  2. CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK CONTROL FUNCTIONS


    1. Check the wireless door lock control function using the door control transmitter assembly.

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (FL Door Lock Pos, FR Door Lock Pos, RL-Door Lock Pos SW, RR-Door Lock Pos SW, Back Door Lock Pos SW)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

    1. Check the wireless answer-back operation using the door control transmitter assembly.

  5. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (Wireless Buzzer)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the A39 wireless door lock buzzer connector.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the driver side junction block assembly.

    3. Connect the driver side junction block assembly connectors.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      A39-1 (B) - A-21 (BZR) Always Below 1 Ω
      A39-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      A39-1 (B) or A-21 (BZR) - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER - DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A39 wireless door lock buzzer connector.

    2. Disconnect the 2M driver side junction block assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      A39-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
