DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly receives a text data signal from the navigation receiver assembly (for Navigation Receiver Type) or radio and display receiver assembly (for Radio and Display Type) via local bus communication.

Based on this signal, audio and visual system or navigation system information is displayed on the multi-information display.

This DTC is stored when the combination meter assembly cannot receive the signal.

Both conditions are met:

After the combination meter assembly receives a registration information signal, which is sent by the navigation receiver assembly (for Navigation Receiver Type) or radio and display receiver assembly (for Radio and Display Type) when the engine switch is on (ACC), 1 or more times, the combination meter assembly cannot receive the signal for 30 seconds or more.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (NAVIGATION SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs.

      for Navigation Receiver Type: Click here

      for Radio and Display Type: Click here

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY OR RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the G16 combination meter assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the F4 navigation receiver assembly connector.(for Navigation Receiver Type)

    3. Disconnect the F40 radio and display receiver assembly connector.(for Radio and Display Type)

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      G16-38(MSCH) - F4-3(CNH1) Always Below 1 Ω
      G16-37(MSCL) - F4-4(CNL1) Always Below 1 Ω

      G16-37(MSCL) or F4-4(CNL1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the combination meter assembly.

      Click here

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait 30 seconds.

      Note


      • A maximum of 30 seconds is required to send/receive the registration information between the combination meter assembly and navigation receiver assembly.(for Navigation Receiver Type)

      • A maximum of 30 seconds is required to send/receive the registration information between the combination meter assembly and radio and display receiver.(for Radio and Display Type)

      Operate the steering pad switch assembly and check that the audio tab illuminates.

    4. Check for DTCs.
