METER / GAUGE SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK INDICATOR/WARNING LIGHT


    1. Check the following indicators and warning lights.

      ABS warning light
      SLIP indicator light
      TRC OFF indicator light
      VSC OFF indicator light
      CRAWL indicator light

      Oil maintenance warning light
      OIL level indicator light
      T-BELT indicator light
      SEDIMENTER/FUEL FILTER indicator light
      SEDIMENTER indicator light
      SPEED LIMIT indicator light
      PCS indicator light
      PPS warning light
      Master warning light
      BSM indicator light
      Headlight beam level control system warning light
      LED headlight warning light
      Tire pressure warning light
      Diesel particulate filter warning light
      SRS warning light Ignition switch off → ON Comes on for 6 seconds
      CHARGE warning light Ignition switch off → ON
      • Illuminates when ignition switch turned to ON

      • Turns off when engine started

      OIL PRESSURE warning light
      A/T OIL TEMP warning light
      MIL
      SIL indicator light
  2. CHECK SPEEDOMETER


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List.

      If the result is not as specified, the speedometer may have a malfunction.

      Note

      Do not use worn, underinflated or overinflated tires as the speedometer reading will be inaccurate.

    5. Check the deflection width of the speedometer indicator.

    6. CHECK TACHOMETER


      1. Connect a tune-up tachometer and start the engine.

      2. Compare the test results with the tachometer indicator.


      • *: for Gasoline Engine

      If the result is not as specified, the tachometer may have a malfunction.

    7. CHECK METER/GAUGE


      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Perform the Active Test Click here.

    8. CHECK WARNING/INDICATOR LIGHT


      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Perform the Active Test Click here.

    9. CHECK MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY (for Segment Display Type [except 5L-E])


      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Perform the Active Test Click here.

    10. CHECK MULTI-INFORMATION DISPLAY (for TFT Display Type)


      1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

      2. Perform the Active Test Click here.
