BODY GENERAL MAINTENANCE

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT TIRE AND INFLATION PRESSURE


    1. Check the tires for wear and proper inflation pressure Click here.

  2. INSPECT LIGHTS, HORN, WIPERS AND WASHERS

  3. TIGHTEN BOLTS AND NUTS ON CHASSIS AND BODY


    1. Where necessary, tighten all the parts of the chassis.


      • Front axle and suspension

      • Drivetrain

      • Rear axle and suspension

      • Brake system

      • Engine mounting, etc.

    2. Where necessary, tighten all parts of the body.


      • Seat belt system

      • Seat

      • Doors and hood

      • Body mounting

      • Fuel tank

      • Exhaust pipe system, etc.

  4. CLEAN OR REPLACE AIR CONDITIONING FILTER


    1. Remove the air conditioning filter Click here.

    2. Visually inspect the surface of the air conditioning filter.

    3. If the air conditioning filter is contaminated with foreign matter, clean or replace it according to the maintenance schedule.

      Note

      Some filters are not able to be cleaned.

  5. CORROSION INSPECTION

  6. INSPECT REFRIGERANT AMOUNT FOR AIR CONDITIONER


    1. Check the sight glass on the liquid tube Click here.

  7. FINAL INSPECTION


    1. Check the operation of the body parts.


      1. Hood


        • Auxiliary catch operates properly.

        • Hood locks securely when closed.

      2. Front and rear doors


        • Door locks operate properly.

        • Doors close properly.

      3. Back door


        • Door lock operates properly.

        • Back door closes properly.

      4. Seats


        • Seat adjusts easily and locks securely in all positions.

        • Front seatback locks securely in all positions.

        • Folding-down rear seatbacks lock securely.

      5. Be sure to deliver a clean vehicle. Especially check:


        • Steering wheel

        • Shift lever knob

        • All switch knobs

        • Door handles

        • Seats

  8. ROAD TEST


    1. Check the engine and chassis for abnormal noises.

    2. Check that the brakes work properly and do not drag.

    3. Set the parking brake shoes and drums.
