THERMOSTAT INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL THERMOSTAT

   

   
   

   1. Install a new gasket to the thermostat.

   2. Install the thermostat with the jiggle valve upward.

      Tech Tips

      The jiggle valve may be set within 10° to either side of the prescribed position.

2. INSTALL WATER INLET

   
   

   1. Install a new gasket and the water inlet to the timing chain cover sub-assembly with the bolt and 2 nuts.

      Torque:

      28 N*m  { 286 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf }

3. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

   
   

   1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the water inlet, and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.

4. CONNECT VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

5. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

   Click here

6. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

   Click here

7. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

8. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

9. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER LOWER

10. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL
