UREA TANK REFILL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note


  • Only refill with urea solution (AdBlue) (compliant with ISO 22241-1).

  • Take care when refilling urea solution (AdBlue) without using SST, as urea solution (AdBlue) may overflow from the refill port.

  • If urea solution (AdBlue) comes into contact with any painted surfaces on the vehicle, immediately wash the affected areas with water.

  • If urea solution (AdBlue) is spilled inside the engine compartment, immediately wipe it with a wet cloth.

PROCEDURE


  1. REFILL UREA SOLUTION (AdBlue)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch on.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Diesel Exhaust / Reductant Level.

    5. Inspect the add capacity of the urea solution (AdBlue).

      4 Approximately 5.9 to 7.7 liters (6.2 to 8.1 US qts, 5.2 to 6.8 Imp. qts)
      3 Approximately 3.9 to 5.9 liters (4.1 to 6.2 US qts, 3.4 to 5.2 Imp. qts)
      2 Approximately 2.6 to 3.9 liters (2.7 to 4.1 US qts, 2.3 to 3.4 Imp. qts)
      1 Approximately 1.5 to 2.6 liters (1.6 to 2.7 US qts, 1.3 to 2.3 Imp. qts)
      0 Approximately 0 to 1.5 liters (0 to 1.6 US qts, 0 to 1.3 Imp. qts)

    6. Disconnect the GTS from the DLC3.

    7. Remove the urea tank cap assembly.

      Set SST to the urea tank filler pipe assembly and refill the urea solution (AdBlue).

    9. Remove SST from the urea tank filler pipe assembly.
