AIR PUMP(w/ Secondary Air Injection System) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY

      *2 Air Pump Assembly
      *3 Air Pump Bracket

      Attach the 3 fittings of the air pump insulator to install the air pump to the bracket.

    2. Attach the wire harness clamp and air pump connector clamp.

    3. Install the air pump with bracket with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    4. Connect the air pump connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE

    1. Connect the No. 1 air injection system hose to the air tube shown in the illustration labeled A.

      Tech Tips


      • Make sure the paint mark of the No. 1 air injection system hose is facing upward.

      • Make sure the direction of the hose clamp is as shown in the illustration.

    2. Connect the No. 1 air injection system hose so that its paint mark aligns with the rib of the air pump as shown in the illustration labeled B.

      • Make sure the paint mark of the No. 1 air injection system hose is facing upward.

      • Make sure the direction of the hose clamp is as shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL AIR PUMP COVER

      *1 Inlet

      Install the air pump cover with the 3 claws.

      Tech Tips

      Make sure the inlet of the air pump cover is oriented correctly and completely attached when installing the air pump cover.
