FUEL SUB TANK REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

  2. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL TANK PROTECTOR

      Remove the 5 bolts and No. 2 fuel tank protector.

  5. DISCONNECT FUEL HOSE

      Disconnect the fuel evaporation hose, fuel breather hose and fuel hose.

  6. DISCONNECT FUEL TANK TO FILLER PIPE HOSE

      Disconnect the fuel tank to filler pipe hose from the filler pipe.

  7. DISCONNECT FUEL TANK BREATHER HOSE

      Disconnect the fuel tank breather hose from the filler pipe.

  8. REMOVE FUEL SUB TANK SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the fuel sender gauge assembly connector.

    2. Set an engine lifter underneath the fuel sub tank sub-assembly.

    3. B001EGQ

      Remove the 4 bolts and disconnect the 2 fuel tank bands.

    4. Remove the fuel sub tank sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE FUEL TANK VENT TUBE ASSEMBLY

      Detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Remove the 8 screws and fuel tank vent tube assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to bend the arm of the fuel sender gauge assembly.

    3. Remove the gasket from the fuel tank vent tube assembly.

  10. REMOVE FUEL TANK TO FILLER PIPE HOSE

      Remove the fuel tank to filler pipe hose from the fuel sub tank sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE FUEL TANK BREATHER HOSE

      Remove the fuel tank breather hose from the fuel sub tank sub-assembly.
