LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the license plate light assembly.

    2. Connect the connector.

  2. INSTALL LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  3. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install 6 new gaskets to the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly.

    2. Install 4 new clips to the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly.

    3. Engage the 4 clips.

    4. Install the luggage compartment door outside garnish sub-assembly with the 6 nuts.

      Torque:
      4.9 N*m  { 50 kgf*cm, 43 in.*lbf }

    5. Connect the connector.

  4. INSTALL REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01I3SBE01

      Install the rear light assembly with the 4 nuts.

      Torque:
      Nut (A)
      4.1 N*m  { 42 kgf*cm, 36 in.*lbf }
      Nut (B)
      3.6 N*m  { 37 kgf*cm, 32 in.*lbf }

    2. Connect the connector.

  5. INSTALL REAR LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. INSTALL REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Spoiler)

    Tech Tips

    When installing the rear spoiler sub-assembly, heat the vehicle body and rear spoiler sub-assembly using a heat light.

    Heating Temperature
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Rear Spoiler 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body, rear spoiler sub-assembly excessively.


    1. When replacing the rear spoiler with a new one:


      1. Install the 2 stud bolts to the rear spoiler.

    2. Install 2 new gaskets to the rear spoiler.

    3. Install 4 new clips to the rear spoiler.

    4. Clean the rear spoiler.


      1. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the rear spoiler.

      2. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    5. Install 2 new No. 2 rear spoiler protectors.


      1. Remove the release paper from the 2 No. 2 rear spoiler protectors.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      2. Install the 2 No. 2 rear spoiler protectors.

    6. Install a new No. 1 rear spoiler protector.


      1. Remove the release paper from the No. 1 rear spoiler protector.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      2. Install the No. 1 rear spoiler protector as shown in the illustration.

    7. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    8. Install the rear spoiler sub-assembly.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and rear spoiler sub-assembly.

      2. Remove the release paper from the rear spoiler sub-assembly.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        Engage the 4 clips.

      4. Install the rear spoiler sub-assembly with the 2 nuts.

        Torque:
        5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

  7. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the luggage compartment door lock assembly.

    2. Connect the luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly.

      Engage the claw as shown in the illustration.

    4. Install the luggage compartment door lock assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

    5. Connect the connector.

  8. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER LH


    1. A01I642

      Engage the clip.

    2. Install the luggage compartment door hinge cover LH with the 2 clips.

  9. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  10. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CUSHION


    1. A01I2IV

      Engage the 4 claws and install 4 new luggage compartment door cushions.

  11. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER


    1. A01I5U8

      Install the luggage compartment door cover with the 13 clips.

  12. ADJUST REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY OPTICAL AXIS (w/ Parking Assist Monitor System)
