DESCRIPTION

When the driving support ECU assembly receives a hybrid control system or SFI system malfunction signal from the power management control ECU via CAN communication, DTC C1A40 is stored.

When DTC C1A40 is stored, hybrid control system or SFI system DTCs will also be stored.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the ECM or power management control ECU is replaced, refer to Registration Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC (HYBRID CONTROL)


    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the Techstream on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.

      OK
      Hybrid control system DTCs are not output.

    NG

    GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM Click here

    OK

  2. CHECK FOR DTC (ENGINE AND ECT)


    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the Techstream on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.

      OK
      SFI system DTCs are not output.

    NG

    GO TO SFI SYSTEM Click here

    OK

  3. REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU


    1. Replace the power management control ECU Click here.


    NEXT

  4. CHECK FOR DTC (PRE-COLLISION 2)


    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    4. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Codes.

    6. Check for DTCs.

      OK
      DTC C1A40 is not output.
