DESCRIPTION

The combination meter assembly receives a text data signal from the navigation receiver assembly*1 or radio and display receiver assembly*2 via local bus communication.

Based on this signal, audio and visual system or navigation system information is displayed on the multi-information display.

This DTC is stored when the combination meter assembly cannot receive the signal.

B150A After the combination meter assembly receives a registration information signal, which is sent by the navigation receiver assembly*1 or radio and display receiver assembly*2 when the power switch is turned on (ACC), 1 or more times, the combination meter assembly does not receive the signal for 30 seconds or more.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the I18 combination meter assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the K58 navigation receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I18-19 (MSCL) - I177-4 (CNL1) Always Below 1 Ω
      I18-18 (MSCH) - I177-3 (CNH1) Always Below 1 Ω
      I18-19 (MSCL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I18-18 (MSCH) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  4. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the combination meter assembly with a new or known good one Click here.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait 30 seconds.

      Note

      A maximum of 30 seconds is required to send/receive the registration information between the combination meter assembly and navigation receiver assembly.

    3. Operate the steering pad switch assembly and check that the audio tab illuminates.

    4. Check for DTCs Click here.

    1. Disconnect the I18 combination meter assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the I66*1 or I158*2 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

      *1: w/ DVD Player

      *2: w/o DVD Player

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  7. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
