DESCRIPTION
When the driving support ECU is replaced with a new one, it acquires the country specification information (destination, steering wheel position, etc.) from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). When the country specification information in the driving support ECU assembly and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) do not match, DTC C1A02 is output.
| DTC No. | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
|---|---|---|
| C1A02 | When the power switch is on (IG) or the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, the driving support ECU assembly does not receive vehicle information for 1 second or more while the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 10 km/h or more. |

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Note
When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.
PROCEDURE
READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (COUNTRY# (DSS))
Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Turn the Techstream on.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Data List.
Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
| Tester Display | Measurement Item/Range | Normal Condition | Diagnostic Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Country# (DSS) | Destination country for driving support ECU assembly/JPN, NA, EURO, CA, AUS, SAFC, OTHER, TWN, CHINA, THAI, GCC or NOFIX | Actual country code | - |
Tech Tips
The country specification information stored in the driving support ECU assembly is determined by the country specification information stored in the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). If the country specification information for the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly matches the vehicle, the country specification information for the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and driving support ECU assembly is incorrect and the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and driving support ECU assembly need to be replaced.
